Seeker was carrying on with the life of an ordinary canine and had everything going for him until one day, his folks surrendered him for eternity. He was taken to the Houston Humane Society in Texas where the proprietors disclosed to the staff that Hunter wasn’t coexisting with the new young doggie and that they didn’t need him any longer. The six-year-old puppy had no clue why this was going on, and it totally broke his heart. Randi Bertholet, who has been volunteering at the others conscious society for as far back as seven years, was one of the first to cooperate with Hunter after he was surrendered. What’s more, that is the point at which his broken heart turned out to be exceptionally evident. “When I walked up to the kennel, at first I didn’t even see a dog in there, until I looked in the corner.
I saw him frozen in fear, trying to make himself invisible,” Randi told The Dodo. “I immediately sat on the floor, turned away from him, waiting for him to come to me. After a few minutes he cautiously approached me.” Hunter realized he could trust her, and he broke down. Randi shared the moment captured on video with the caption: “Ever wonder what a broken heart looks like? Well there you have it.”Surrendered Dog Doesn’t Understand Why He Wasn’t Good Enough For His Owners Hunter’s so sad his family doesn’t want him anymore. She was heartbroken and cried that night while lying in bed thinking about how lonely and scared he must be. But as others began learning of Hunter’s sad situation as the result of the video being posted to social media, adoption offers came pouring in! They were becoming hopeful that it wouldn’t be long until Hunter found a new, loving forever home.

At this time, we have a few wonderful applications in for him. As you can imagine, it has been an overwhelming few days for this sweet boy. We are working on scheduling meet and greets to find the best fit for him. We'll give another update over the next few days. One of our volunteers shared this heartbreaking video of Hunter today. He could use some help finding a new family!“Ever wonder what a broken heart looks like? Well there you have it. 💔👆🏼Hunter was surrendered to the shelter yesterday because…ready for it? He didn’t get along with their new puppy. Just when I think the human race couldn’t disappoint me anymore. I found him in the corner of his kennel, too afraid to move. Sometimes I have to stop walking dogs, and sit on the cold floor (the same cold floor these pups sit on) to give them some comfort that’s it’s not as scary as they think. If you’re interested in adopting sweet Hunter, then head to the @houstonhumane and be this guy’s hero. #adoptdontshop #adopthunter #houstonhumanesociety”
