Touching Moment Wild Stallion Saves Young Filly Horse From Drowning Caught On Camera

A wild stallion saves an inexperienced foal from drowning while crossing a river in this heartwarming moment.The amazing incident occurred in Arizona’s Tonto National Forest and was captured on camera by a Park Service Volunteer named Becky Standridge.The wild horse has demonstrated that animals, too, can be compassionate and selfless.

Champ, the wild stallion, and his family were eating on the Salt River’s bank when another group of horses appeared on the opposite bank.Two playful young horses were among the other group.Champ and a few of his horses were intrigued by them and decided to cross the river to meet them.

The river’s current, however, was too strong for a young filly horse.She was swallowed by the rapid river in seconds and swam to the surface in a panic.Fortunately, Champ was nearby to save her.He tried to grab her by the back of her neck, held her gently, and protected her until she reached the other side of the river and went straight to her mother.Champ then returned to his family, and the herd moved on.
