Tiny street dog shares his only piece of bread with his rescuers

A tiny puppy abandoned by his owners was discovered carrying a piece of bread that he offered to his rescuers.Little Gunnar was lucky to be alive in more ways than one. He was anemic, suffering from tick bite fever and eye infections.

Sidewalk Specials discovered that his owners in South Africa’s Groendal township of Franschoek couldn’t afford to sterilize his mother. So they expelled her and surrendered her puppies for euthanasia.Gunnar was somehow forgotten and left to fend for himself. He’d been out in the cold for a week when Sidewalk Specials arrived.

Sidewalk Specials’ Rachael said they were just in time to save him.His tail was wagging when they picked him up, and “his positive attitude kept him going.”Soon after, he moved in with Freya and her partner.Three years later, the inquisitive puppy is a mini-rockstar.He has a strange rock obsession and assists his family in fostering dogs.
