According to ilovemydogsomuch, Betsey the abandoned Pit Bull was discovered tied to a railing on a New York subway platform during rush hour.
In the name of a “bed,” her owner had shamelessly spread out a trash bag by her side. Hundreds of commuters saw the terrified prong-collared pooch nervously staring away from the crowd for hours. No one, however, felt compelled enough to save Betsey.
Finally, a woman named Sarah Borok came forward to assist the distressed dog. She called animal control and waited by Betsey’s side patiently, even if it meant being late for work. The animal control officers had no trouble getting Betsey to the shelter thanks to Sarah’s comforting gesture! A vet examination later revealed the terrible truth about Betsey – she was a “throwaway mama dog.” Unscrupulous breeders exploit female dogs for puppies and discard them like trash when they serve their purpose. Betsey was repeatedly forced to have multiple litters, according to the vet, and her most recent litter may already be for sale.
Betsey was eventually rescued by the rescue organization “Mr. Bones & Co. and Rescue the Runway.” It was discovered that this abused girl suffered from panic attacks as a result of the city’s hustle and bustle. As a result, she was placed in foster care with an experienced mother-daughter duo who live in a secluded area outside of town.
Betsey is gradually relaxing and learning how to be a spoiled dog in her wonderful foster home. She is a sweet girl, but she is easily frightened due to her terrifying past experiences. She will be available for adoption once she has been fully rehabilitated. Best wishes, Betsey!
