Ticks nearly killed this dog until rescuers arrived

When you bring a dog home, you feel obligated to care for it.Unfortunately, some people either forget about this duty or find themselves in situations where they are unable to care for their pet.
In addition, a lot of the time, the pet dog is the one to encounter.Standard care, such as deworming and flea and tick preventatives, become an important part of keeping a canine companion healthy and balanced. However, when a dog named Belle was discovered in South Africa, she was in bad shape. It appeared that no one had actually looked after Belle in a long time

Belle was covered in bumps when someone from the Area Led Pet Welfare, or CLAW, discovered her.Upon closer inspection, rescuers discovered that the bumps were, in fact, ticks – hundreds of them.Belle was so covered in them that she didn’t even look like a dog.

Ticks had gathered around Belle’s eyes and ears, and they were also feeding on her blood. The ticks had consumed so much of Belle’s blood that she was anemic and unable to walk.CLAW volunteers rushed Belle to the veterinarian to get her the care she required.

The problem was that Belle had so many ticks on her that removing them one by one would almost certainly cause her to lose too much blood.Rather, the vet used strong anti-parasitic medications to paralyze the ticks, causing them to only weaken Belle. It was quick and dependable. After removing the ticks, the veterinarian had to replace the nutrients Belle had lost due to malnourishment.

Belle began to feel much better after that. She resembling a normal pet once more and even enthralled a female who decided to adopt her and provide her with a permanent home.Although Belle was on the verge of death when she was rescued, she is now more than happy, healthy, and balanced, and living in a loving home.
