The shelter dog is so terrified that she will not turn away from the wall, and the vet recognizes abuse

Trips outside the house are usually exciting occasions for a dog.
It could be as simple as a walk, a trip to the vet (yuck! ), or even a trip to the doggie park.
However, one dog’s journey ended at the local animal shelter after her owners abandoned her.

The poor dog, heartbroken, cowered in the corner, refusing to look around.
But, thanks to a kind rescue worker, she now has a new lease on life.

Rescued from the shelter

Tammy Graves, founder of The Haley Graves Foundation, knew June Cash needed help the moment she saw her.The sight of the dog laying in the corner was too much for Graves, so she made plans to place her in a foster home.

After a short wait, June was ready to leave the shelter and begin her journey to a new life in a forever home.
But first, she had to go to the vet.

“She was scared leaving and is just learning to trust people,” Graves told The Dodo.
“Every day, she gets a little bit closer.”

Getting treatment

June was diagnosed with heartworms after being examined by a veterinarian, and she began treatment to treat them.
She also showed signs of previous abuse.Despite her heartbreak, she was better off being abandoned at the shelter by her former owner.

Meanwhile, at her foster home, she was learning to trust people as she realized that everyone involved in her recovery was only trying to help her.
She eventually felt comfortable enough to approach her foster father.
