People saved a dog who was kept on such a short chain that she couldn’t even rest her head, and she is now happy

We all want happy endings, but as with any story, we can’t ignore the bleak beginnings, writes justsomething.

Cala, a mechanic’s guard-dog in San Jose, Costa Rica, suffered the agony of being chained up on a chain so short that she couldn’t lay her head down or breathe properly.
She was in poor health, suffering from wounds and malnutrition.
Fortunately, she was rescued and taken to Territorio de Zaguates, an animal shelter, where she gradually recovered.
Cala’s life was complicated further when heartless people tried to break into the shelter and feed the dogs poison-laced sausages.

16 dogs died as a result of the incident, and Cala suffered from neurological issues.
We’re happy to report that, after overcoming significant obstacles, she has finally found a family who treats her well, allowing her to regain her faith in humanity.

Concerned neighbors finally intervened, and Cala was taken to the Territorio de Zaguates dog shelter.

It was almost too late for Cala. She was in a very bad condition.

When she was taken in, she was malnourished and covered in wounds that she couldn’t even stand.

The recovery process was long and quite painful for Cala.

Aside from physical weakness, Cala had difficulty trusting anyone or even other dogs.

Despite the difficult and lengthy healing process, the rescuers were determined to assist her.
Cala was soon back in shape.
However, even after her recovery, another obstacle in her life arose.

Heartless people crept into the shelter and fed poison-laced sausages to the dogs.
The incident killed 16 dogs and left Cala with neurological issues.
Cala, on the other hand, was a tough dog who fought for her life until she was able to overcome another obstacle.

Cala is living the best life she has ever had.
She is ready to trust again now that she has a new loving family.
