|
Officer J. Williams discovered a medium-sized Pit Bull tied to a fence with a red leash while conducting a property check at the Parsippany Animal Control and Shelter last week.Someone had left a toy, a bag of food, and two bowls for the dog.

The Pit Bull was abandoned between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m., but the weather outside was already quite cold. The temperature was 23 degrees Fahrenheit (-5 degrees Celsius), with a wind chill of about 7 degrees. It’s no surprise that the bowl of water was frozen solid!
Officer Williams took the unidentified dog into his patrol car to warm him up.The Pit Bull immediately kissed him on the cheek!Officer Williams couldn’t help but take a selfie of the sweet moment while waiting for a Parsippany Animal Control Officer to arrive.

The Pit Bull was taken into the shelter once the animal control officer arrived.Fortunately, the dog appears to be unharmed. The dog’s owner is currently being sought by the Parsippany Animal Control and Shelter.

Let’s hope that if this sweet pittie finds a forever family who will love him!
