Man Can’t Stop Crying Tears Of Joy When He Finds Out He Can Keep His Foster Dog

Ann Hoang had no idea their first foster dog experience would be so transformative, especially for her husband.The Hoangs wanted to add another dog to their family at the time, but they already had their first dog, Charlie, to care for.The family was unsure whether they could handle the responsibility of another dog.They decided to try fostering instead of adopting.

The Hoangs reasoned that if they could foster a dog, they could adopt a rescue dog.The Hoangs met Toby in this manner.Toby is a South Korean rescue dog who was flown to a safe house in the United States.He was rescued from the shelter by “Band For Animal,” a non-profit organization dedicated to saving dogs from euthanasia or the meat-market trade.Fortunately, Toby was quickly placed in the care of the Hoangs.

Toby was initially terrified and wary of his new surroundings.Toby became more at ease over time, thanks to his foster family’s love.Toby sat next to Mr. Hoang on the first night, and they quickly became friends.Toby began to show his personality after that night, and Charlie even began to like him.The siblings became inseparable.Toby made everyone fall in love with him in just a week.Ann Hoang’s heart broke thinking about how sad they would all be if Toby was adopted.

“We had two families wanting to meet with Toby, and when that happened, I just realized how devastated my husband would be without him,” Ann Hoang told The Dodo.”Even though it had only been a week, my husband and Toby were inseparable.My husband is such a generous person who always puts others first.”He’s never really asked for or desired anything badly,” Hoang added.

Ann made the decision to contact the shelter in order to officially adopt Toby.Because adopting a dog necessitates a home inspection, she worked with the staff to plan a surprise for her husband.The team that came to the Hoangs to conduct the home check pretended to be Toby’s prospective adopters.Following the home evaluation, the staff gave the Hoangs a card indicating that they were allowing the family to officially adopt Toby.When a staff member handed the card to Mr. Hoang, he burst into tears, and everyone in the room burst into tears as well!

“I expected him to be happy, but I never expected him to cry so much,” Ann Hoang said. “I have never seen him react this way to anything before!”He’s sensitive, but this was beyond anything I’d ever seen.”Ann Hoang and her husband decided to become foster parents in order to see if they could handle another dog.As a result, they met Toby.

The staff that made the home inspection handed him a card telling him the good news, and he couldn’t believe it at first.

Even Ann and the rescue staff became emotional, too.
