Little girls are moved to tears after deputy reunites them with their missing dog

It’s always heartbreaking when a dog goes missing, but one family’s tears of sorrow turned into tears of joy after being reunited with their lost dog.

Max, a dog from Bexar County, Texas, vanished from his home last May.His worried family looked everywhere, putting up signs around the neighborhood in the hopes that their dog would return.Max was described as a mixed-breed dog who was “super friendly” and “very calm and sweet” by flyers.

“We miss him terribly,” his family said.

Max had gone missing, leaving his family worried sick — but there was a break in the case that July.According to the department, Deputy Perez of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a dog that was “found wandering in the neighborhood.”When Perez arrived on the scene, she recognized the dog as one she had seen on missing flyers around town.He contacted the family, and sure enough, the dog was Max, who had been missing for several weeks!

Not only did Deputy Perez facilitate the sweet reunion, but he also witnessed the heartwarming moment the family’s children were reunited with their pet.The sheriff’s office shared photos of the family’s two little girls embracing Max, with one of them so overcome with joy that she can’t hold back her tears:

“Max and his family were reunited and as you can see on the children’s faces, they could not be happier,” the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office wrote.

The touching story went viral on Facebook, garnering nearly 2,000 shares and hundreds of comments, many of which praised the deputy for facilitating this happy reunion.”That sweet, grateful expression says so much!”one of the comments reads”To see these little girls’ faces is priceless!” said another.
“These tiny creatures have a big impact on our hearts.”Thank you to Deputy Perez for assisting in reuniting Max with his worried family — it must have been an emotional reunion to witness in person, a reminder of the importance of pets in our lives and the importance of returning lost animals to their families.
