A young Mississippi boy rode a 30-year-old horse for the first time and fell in love with the senior horse.
The boy’s grandfather saw the boy’s smile and decided to give him that horse, writes ilovemydogsomuch
The boy eagerly followed his grandfather to the horse auction, knowing that by the end of the day, the horse would be his.
However, at the auction, a kill-buyer, known for sending horses to slaughterhouses, developed an interest in the old horse and began bidding.
Grandpa’s bids were unsuccessful because the kill-buyer kept raising his bids.
The little boy realized what was going on and cried out in desperation for a miracle.
When Jennifer Aylesworth of Rocking R Ranch and Rescue spotted them, his prayers were answered.
Jennifer would frequently attend horse auctions in search of rescues.
She would try to outbid kill buyers on horses, then find families to re-home them.
So she ended up outbidding the kill Buyer and saving the horse on that day as well!
Jennifer approached Grandpa and the little boy after the auction and asked them to keep the horse!
Grandpa couldn’t believe this generous offer, but Jennifer assured them that the adoption would go forward.
The boy was ecstatic and embraced Jennifer!
We’re thankful for angels like Jennifer who keep an eye on these adorable creatures!
