Dogs Save Granny From Freezing To Death Outside Home

A pair of labradoodles began acting strangely in the pitch black and freezing weather.According to their human parents, Lonnie and Susan Chester, Adam and Eva were acting unusually for canines outside their Norvell, Michigan, home around 4:30 a.m.

Norma stated:

“Because (Adam) had never pulled on my clothes, I was hesitant to let them out because I wasn’t sure what was outside.”Adam and Eva slipped out before Lonnie could fully open his front door, dashed to their pickup, and returned.A woman in her 80s lay immobilized nearby, wearing only a nightgown.

Norma stated:

“I’m not sure how long she was there.”She must have been afraid,” she went on, turning to face me and whispering, “I’m so cold.”

Lonnie picked up Granny and dialed 911 after carrying her inside the house and placing her under some blankets on the couch.

According to the National Weather Service, the temperature in Jackson County was -9 degrees at 5:40 a.m. yesterday.

Cathy stated:

“I don’t know how they knew she was out there if Adam and Eva hadn’t woken us up.”It could have been a disastrous ending.”

According to Susan, the woman’s relatives arrived at the residence shortly after first responders and inquired about the status of their missing family member. She was sleeping in the snow in the middle of the night when her family came looking for her, but she didn’t see them. The woman was examined and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Norma stated:

“I have to credit 911 because they arrived quickly after I called,” the caller said.
