Dog Sisters Separated After Adoption Accidentally Run Into Each Other, Have Joyful Reunion

Two rescued dogs recognized each other from afar in the middle of a bustling market, leading to an unintentional but heartwarming family reunion that is warming everyone’s hearts.Kaitlyn Hawkins and her partner were walking through Seattle’s Pike Place Market when her puppy, Maui, sprinted towards a strange dog.

The other dog, like Maui, was a Golden Retriever around the same age.The other dog (named Juniper) became equally excited as they approached, and their humans suspected something was wrong.

After talking with each other, the couples discovered their adopted dogs were actually Russian siblings! Both dogs are 11 months old and were flown to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport as puppies last May to be adopted.

The puppies rolled around and embraced each other in their unexpected reunion, which was made even more remarkable by the fact that they had met in the market, which receives 15 million visitors each year.

Pam Corwin, a Pike Place vendor, witnessed the entire event and filmed the incredible family reunion.

“Today I witnessed the coolest thing,” she writes.”I was at my Pike Place Market booth when I noticed two couples (who didn’t know each other) walking towards each other with identical dogs.Suddenly, the dogs charged towards each other and went completely insane.”

“This joyful reunion lasted more than a half-hour, and they were still going when I left the market.”
(I heard the couples exchanging phone numbers, which made me very happy because it means they can now have play dates.)”
