Disabled dog abandoned twice in one day, finally adopted into ‘loving’ home

A crippled dog was adopted after being left behind twice in the same day in a “heartbreaking” video that prompted a police investigation.Tintin was shoved out of a car by his owner in January, according to CCTV footage from Sao Leopoldo, Brazil.

Tintin, who has only three legs and a disability with his remaining front leg, can be seen chasing after the vehicle as his owner drives away.According to The Mirror, Tintin was later discovered by a local who thought he had become lost and returned him to his owners.

However, Tintin was dumped again the next day by the woman’s husband. The mixed-breed dog was taken in by the Patas Guerreras animal shelter, which reported that the dog did “exceptionally well” considering the circumstances.

According to Revista News, hundreds of people shared the video of Tintin being abandoned on social media, sparking petitions and “mobilizing hundreds of candidates” to consider adopting rescue animals.

Users on social media dubbed the woman “the most evil person on the planet.”

More than 30 families applied to adopt Tintin, but Anderson Ribeiro, the secretary of animal protection, claimed that finding a new owner was difficult.

“The process involves a full judicial issue as a result of abandonment, as well as a dispute by the former guardian and all of the case’s popular ramifications, including on an international scale.”

“It was a procedure that required close attention.”Because of the pet’s physical characteristics, we added some questions to the standard adoption questionnaire, particularly about the floor of the adopter’s home,” Ribeiro said, according to Revista News.

Following the “rigorous” interview process, four families were chosen as suitable candidates, and the search was narrowed down to one household in Porto Alegre.

According to Patas Guerreras, the new family is showing him “love and care.”
