Devoted Grandpa Builds A Cart To Take His Sick Senior Dog On A Walk Every Day

Tonino Vitale lives in Italy with his labrador puppy Dylan, whom he adores.Dylan has lived a long life at the age of thirteen.Unfortunately, the passage of time has left its mark on his body. When Vitale noticed that Dylan was losing energy, he took him to the vet.Dylan was diagnosed with arthritis there.

Arthritis is a joint condition that is unfortunately quite common in older dogs.Arthritis causes pain and discomfort in one or more joints, as well as stiffness and difficulty moving.

Dylan’s diagnosis served as a stark reminder to Vitale that the sweet pup would not live forever.Vitale made the decision to take Dylan on a special walk every day in order to make his remaining time on Earth as happy as possible.

Dylan’s arthritis was making it too painful and exhausting for him to go for a long walk by himself, but Vitale had a plan.Vitale constructed a cart for Dylan to lie on, then wheeled Dylan and the cart around, allowing the pup to enjoy the fresh air and exciting scenery. And, not long after Vitale began taking Dylan for his daily “walk,” he noticed that the senior dog had become more alert and happy.

Vitale’s love and dedication to his dog have not gone unnoticed, and one of his neighbors managed to capture a video of the sweet couple one day.The video has since gone viral, and we’re sure it will inspire more people to go the extra mile for their senior dogs.
