Cat Watches Grandma Fix His Favorite Toy While Waiting Patiently

Lucas developed feelings for a stuffed leopard about his size when he was a kitten.Lucas has grown up in the last four years, but his love for his favorite toy has not.”I got the toy from my local zoo, along with a few other plush animals,” Lucas’ mother Alana told The Dodo.He doesn’t usually touch my stuffed animals, but he wouldn’t touch this one.

Lucas doesn’t seem to mind that the toy has become a little raggedy with age.The leopard is special in that it is Lucas’ little companion and security blanket.”He’d go crazy for this one,” Alana, who requested that her last name not be used, said.
“I’d find it in strange places, all covered in cat spit.”Last year, Alana’s grandmother moved in with the family and immediately fell in love with Lucas. She noticed the state of the cat’s leopard — stuffing coming out, fur tattered — and decided to breathe some life back into it.

“He’s had this toy for about four years, and it ripped due to wear and tear,” Alana explained.”My grandmother moved in with us last year and adores Lucas.[She] noticed that his favorite toy was ripped and sewed it back up for him.”Lucas was captivated by the movement of the needle and thread through his toy and sat patiently as Grandma performed surgery on his friend.

“He watched the whole time,” Alana said.”He was just super into what she was doing.”When Lucas’ grandmother was finished, she returned the toy to the cat, as good as new — and he was clearly pleased with the outcome. Thanks to her sweet gesture, Lucas can play with his favorite toy for years to come.”Lucas was overjoyed!”Alana stated.
