An elderly woman dies, and all 14 of her senior dogs are now homeless

When an elderly dog owner died unexpectedly, leaving 14 senior dogs without a home, two rescue organizations, Stray Rescue Of St. Louis and Five Acres Animal Shelter, banded together.According to ilovemydogsomuch, all fourteen dogs had never received medical care.

Both groups had no idea what to expect, but they were certain they wanted to help.
The rescuers realized right away that the dogs were all suffering from dental disease. They’d already lost some or all of their teeth.

While the dogs’ health wasn’t the best, and no one knows what kind of discomfort or pain they were in, they were all patient and sweet. They realized that these nice new humans were there to assist them.

All of the dogs were evaluated once they returned to the shelters. Many had mange, cataracts, and other serious problems. All fourteen dogs were bathed and lavished with affection one by one. They felt incredibly special (because they are!).

The rescue organizations acknowledge that each dog will require extensive medical care, but they promise that they will all receive it.We are so happy to see that all fourteen dogs are being well cared for, whether they go on to a medical foster or, if any are well enough, can be adopted out.

This is why rescue organizations are ANGELS!Don’t forget that seniors are important as well! They are the most difficult to place in forever homes. Please consider welcoming an older pet into your heart and home.Watch the video below to learn more about the incredible rescue!
