After her owner abandoned her in the woods, the baby wept and embraced the only person who cared for her

Ilovemydogsomuch writes that a puppy this young should be loved and well-cared for.

In fact, all animals deserve it!
Unfortunately, when a puppy named Zarife was injured, her cruel owner threw her into the woods.
Zarife’s owner didn’t care if she lived or died.
Zarife screamed as loudly as she could in the hopes that someone would hear her.

When a good Samaritan heard the pup, he contacted a local rescue organization.
They arrived as quickly as they could.
The puppy was in pain.
She wagged her tail, relieved that someone was finally going to help her, but her pain was unbearable.
They loaded the puppy into the car and drove straight to the vet.

Zarife had giardia, which the vet confirmed and promised to treat right away.
However, she was also covered in infected wounds.
She required pain relievers and antibiotics.
Every time they tried to touch her painful skin, the poor baby whimpered.
Additional tests revealed that she was also malnourished and anemic.
This meant she was never properly fed in the first place and was left alone in the woods for a long time.

Despite everything, this poor puppy continued to shower her new human friends with kisses, hugs, and tail wags.
Her spirit is strong, and she’s already proving to be one tough puppy!
“There is no doubt that her previous humans failed her.”
That simply breaks our hearts.
She is now safe, but the fact that she had to suffer in the first place is not acceptable!

The little one is making great progress.
She feels so much better after only a week.
When one of the rescuers opens the door to her kennel, she gives the sweetest puppy hug in return.
She has such emotional depth despite the fact that she is a dog, and some may argue that dogs do not feel as we do.
That lovely hug says it all!

The sweet puppy is getting stronger by the day!
She doesn’t yet have a forever home, but her rescuers will make certain she finds the perfect family.
Can we send our prayers and best wishes to Zarife?
She is deserving!
Zarife is safe and sound, and we are grateful!
