After being saved from certain death, a baby elephant cannot stop following her rescuer

Moyo was only a few days old when she was saved from drowning while attempting to cross a flooded river.
She was also abandoned by her pack, but rangers discovered her just as a pack of hyenas surrounded her.
The brave rangers took Moyo to the ‘Wild Is Life’ sanctuary, where Roxy Danckwerts, the sanctuary’s founder, became the orphan’s new mother.

Moyo, who is 14 months old, now follows Roxy wherever she goes.

“She knows my voice, my smell, and she always knows where I am,” Roxy explained.
“I’m not sure how!”
It’s becoming more difficult as Moyo grows larger and her raids around the house become more difficult to handle.

“She is one of those animals with whom I have developed an extraordinary friendship, trust, and love,” Danckwerts said.
” It will be difficult to let go.
However, I am so determined and certain of the path I have chosen.
I want the best for the elephant children, and that means allowing them to roam freely and make their own decisions.”

Baby Moyo was found surrounded by a pack of hungry hyenas after being abandoned by her herd in her time of need.

Fortunately, the rangers arrived just in time and took her to the Wild Is Life sanctuary, where Roxy Danckwerts, the sanctuary’s founder, became the orphan’s new mother.
