A man uses an electrical cord to save a dog that was dangling near a highway overpass

According to dogfull.com, a man was in the right place at the right time to save a dog who was hanging from an electrical cord near a highway overpass.

David Fredman was on his way to work in Independence, Missouri, when he noticed the dog near the I-70 overpass.”I saw what appeared to be a dog dangling from the side of some sort of power box.””He was definitely strangled by the cord,” Fredman told Fox4 KC.”His feet were on the ground, but they were barely touching. He was trying to move his head left and right but couldn’t get it to move.”Fredman immediately dialed 911 and grabbed a knife to free the dog.He noticed the dog trying to breathe as soon as he cut the dog free.He couldn’t walk either, but he brought the dog to KC Pet Project after calming him down.

They discovered the dog was microchipped and named Max, as well as the fact that his owner, Dee Vaughn, had been looking for him.Vaughn was relieved when he received word that Max had been found just two hours after reporting his dog missing, but he was devastated when he learned what had happened to his 16-year-old dog. It’s unclear how Max got into this situation. Was it an accident, or did someone try to hang Max on purpose?Vaughn claims his senior dog could not have walked the mile to where he was discovered.

However, he told the news station that surveillance cameras could reveal what happened to his dog.
The electrical cord wrapped around Max’s neck certainly suggests suspicious activity.
Vaughn stated that he contacted police and was advised to contact animal control, which he intends to do.But all he cares about is that Max is safe and sound, thanks to Fredman. He had the opportunity to thank Fredman in person and said, “Thank you, David, so much.”You came to a halt in your work to turn around and save my dog’s life.”
