When a woman came across a baby lamb abandoned by her mother, she realized she had to intervene and save the small creature. The lamb was crying out in pain, and upon closer inspection, it was discovered that the poor creature had been born deaf. Compassionately, the woman grabbed the helpless lamb into her arms and swore to do everything she could to help her.
The lamb quickly learned to regard the woman as her mother. She’d sleep in the woman’s house and follow her around, soon transforming herself into a fierce and tenacious survivor. However, the mother realized that the lamb required companionship and a decent environment in which she might live a happy and meaningful life.
As fate would have it, a second lamb was discovered about the same time and requested if the woman might take him in. Ramses and Woolly, the two lambs, instantaneously connected and were inseparable, growing up together as brother and sister. They spent their days together blissfully, but the woman knew they couldn’t stay with her forever.
Ramses and Woolly needed a home to live out their days surrounded by other farm animals, which is when the woman discovered Mino Valley Farm Sanctuary. This shelter for abandoned farm animals was the ideal place for the two lambs, and she was pleased when they agreed to accept them.
The following day, Ramses and Woolly set out on a 16-hour journey to their new home. They were greeted with open arms upon arrival and soon began to explore their new surroundings. The lambs were finally given the life they deserved, frolicking through the woods, going for walks with the sanctuary staff, and living peacefully alongside other farm animals.
Mino Valley Farm Sanctuary has given Ramses and Woolly the chance to live the lives they deserve. The two lambs are now thriving in their new habitat, surrounded by love and care from the sanctuary’s dedicated staff. We are extremely grateful for this rescue!
