At the Kramer household, Libera was a puppy when she first came. She soon developed a special bond with April, an 8-year-old daughter.
Over the years, Libra also became best friends with her adorable kitten sibling, Maxwell.
As the years passed, April grew up and Libra became a trustworthy friend. However, after being by her sister’s side for 15 years, Libra’s health began to fail. After several vet visits, it was clear Libra wasn’t going to live very long because of the cancerous pulmonary tumors. She was in a lot of pain and wasn’t likely to live much longer.
Libra had been nothing but a nice girl for the Kramers, and they didn’t want her to suffer for long. The family chose to face the inevitable as the ill dog’s bladder deteriorated swiftly, causing her excruciating anguish. April had one more thing she wanted to do for Libra to express her gratitude for her unconditional and unending love.
April slid down the window to allow Libra to remember her best automobile journey. The ailing dog closed her eyes and enjoyed the passing beauty while feeling the breeze for the following 30 minutes.
A bereaved April posted a photo of Libra’s last automobile journey as a tribute to her best childhood buddy, Libra. Her spirit has crossed the rainbow bridge and is no longer in anguish or fear.
Watch the video below to learn how Libra’s full life culminated in one final automobile ride that is both beautiful and devastating.
