Colton Michael told TV channel KMBC that the 4-year-old Labrador retriever-fringe collie blend appeared on the entryway patio of his family’s home in Lawson, which is around 30 miles (48 kilometers) upper east of Kansas City.
A hound named Cleo who vanished from her home in Kansas recently turned up a couple of days after the fact at her old home in Missouri, around 50 miles (80 kilometers) away.
From the outset, she wouldn’t let anybody get close to her, said Michael, who has lived in the home for about two years. “She discovers her direction home, and there’s certain outsiders living in it.
That would be terrifying for anyone,” he said. In the end, he had the option to pick up Cleo’s trust and to get her checked for a microchip, which demonstrated that she had a place with the previous proprietors of his home.
Cleo’s owners, who had moved to Olathe, Kansas, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) southwest of Lawson, couldn’t believe it when Michael called and said the dog had turned up at their old home.
They had posted on Facebook a week earlier about the missing dog.
Neither family knows how Cleo made the trip, which would have required her to cross at least one river.
