Estelle and Daniel Harris dependably knew their Bull Mastiff Brucie would have a major job in their wedding service. The couple adores their little guy more than anything on the planet, and Estelle frequently calls him her ‘child with four legs.’
Estelle received Brucie five years prior when he was two months old. Estelle and Brucie promptly fortified. At the point when Brucie was a year old, Estelle met Daniel. She took Daniel home to meet Brucie, and fortunately, Brucie cherished Daniel! A couple of years into their relationship, Daniel proposed to Estelle and she cheerfully said yes.
The pair chose they needed to get hitched in May 2019, and they started arranging their fantasy wedding. In December 2018, Estelle saw that Brucie’s gums were white and his tongue was blue. She surged him to the vet, where she learned he had pleural emanation. This implied there was liquid around his heart and lungs, and it must be depleted on the off chance that he would endure. At the point when the vets were depleting liquid, they found a dangerous knot in his chest.
The vets told Estelle and Daniel that they had to perform emergency surgery on Brucie, and they should say their goodbyes to him because there was a chance he wouldn’t survive.Brucie made it through the seven-hour surgery, but he was later diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma. This type of cancer is extremely aggressive, and unfortunately, there is no cure.
The vets told Estelle and Daniel that Brucie would most likely live for just another one to four months.Estelle and Daniel were devastated by this news. Estelle couldn’t imagine getting married without her beloved dog by her side. The couple talked it over, and they decided to move their wedding date up four months so Brucie could be there.
Having Brucie there was more important to them than having a big ceremony. “Having Brucie there with me on the day was the most important thing, hence why we changed it. I think some people think we are nuts for changing it, as some people see him as just a dog, but to me he’s a lot, lot more,” Estelle told Ladbible.
