Every dog parent understands that their dog is more than just a pet; they are a member of the family. And I’m quite sure the dogs feel the same way. They are happy when we are happy, sad when we are sad, and just want to be involved in our daily lives. So, when they are removed from us, they become tremendously unhappy and may even slip into despair.
Unfortunately, this is what happened to two darling girls who had lost their father. But luck will soon smile upon them again.
Baby and Rosie are two senior pitties who lost their owner because of pancreatic cancer. A woman close to their father told him that she would ensure that his two children had the best forever home possible. In order to keep her pledge, she contacted Lisa Chiarelli, the founder of Frankie Lola and Friends, a non-profit dog rescue in Los Angeles, California.
Lisa knew immediately after hearing their story that these two girls deserved a very special reward.
“Their lives as they knew them had been radically altered forever. So today, I’m going to see Baby and Rosie and take them out for a beautiful dog day!” Lisa told the Dodo.
Lisa thought that the sisters would be couch potatoes because they were senior dogs. Little did she realize, these pups were still puppies at heart.
They first visited the groomers for a peaceful spa day. When it was Rosie’s turn to take a bath, Baby refused to leave her side to ensure that her big sister was okay.
“Baby was always concerned about her older sister. She kept hopping up to check on her. “You could tell how much they loved each other,” she said.
Of course, Rosie did the very same thing!
When they finished at the spa and looked lovely and clean, it was time for Puppuccino! They couldn’t hide their enthusiasm when Lisa approached them with a delicious present. Finally, they spent some time at the park to round off an extremely enjoyable day.
“After spending the day with Baby and Rosie, I was totally in love and saw how magical they were,” she said.
Lisa quickly found them a foster family ready to take them in for a few weeks while she looked for a family who would adopt them together.
“Their hearts may have been broken before, yet they still have so much love to offer. “They are going to make someone extremely happy,” she said.
In no time, a family came out to Lisa, expressing their want to include Baby and Rosie in their loving family.
Now, these beautiful sisters have the best doggo days every day! They enjoy spending time in a comfortable house, having fun with hoomans that cherish them.
