Unless you’ve had your own pet, it’s difficult to fully comprehend the degree of worry and anxiety an owner feels when their pet goes missing. The owner is filled with anxiety and despair as he wonders where they are, if they are doing well, or if they are even alive.
That’s what happened to Alan Whitton, a 53-year-old life coach whose dog, Jack Russell Mitzi, went missing during one of their regular walks. Mitzi had gone away for the first time, leaving Alan in complete anxiety and panic.
Alan adopted Mitzi as a puppy in 2018 after the death of his long-time companion, Tinker. He was struggling to cope from such a significant loss, but with Mitzi by his side, everything was so much simpler!
Since then, Mitzi has been a charming and faithful girl, following him wherever he went. She’s a sweet little puppy who adores cuddling with her owner! And, even when she is at her most eccentric and mischievous, she never loses her appeal. The mated couple decided to go for a usual stroll one day when she was chased by a Basset Hound and did not return.
When he got the spot, he took several of Mitzi’s toys and squeaking them near the foxhole’s entrance. He heard Mitzi’s tiny whimper a split second later, but couldn’t see her.
He began digging into the foxhole with the help of neighbors, and approximately two hours later he was reunited with Mitzi!
He reached into the hole as her tiny head emerged from the inside, looking at her loving dad. He grabbed her with his arms and pulled her up to his chest, breaking down in tears.
The crowd who helped this man rescue his dog cheered in joy, happy to see that the owner and his dog finally reunited after all the hardship they had been through.
Alan finally held Mitzi in his arms after nearly losing hope! He sobbed uncontrollably as he considered what may have occurred if he hadn’t found her in time. But she was finally there, safe and happy in his arms, and that was all that mattered.
The good news was that this white-and-brown girl was fine after the incident. She didn’t have any injuries – only a few ticks that were removed after she was rescued.
Alan finally had Mitzi in his arms after nearly giving up hope! He cried a lot, thinking about everything that could’ve occurred if he hadn’t found her in time. But she was finally there, safe and joyful in his arms – and that was all that counted.
