The Lhasa Apso could have sustained a nasty fall if not for them.. A tiny Lhasa Apso was caught by residents in a bed sheet after plummeting three floors from apartment block balcony and losing its grip, but it has managed to walk away unharmed. Thanks to the quick-thinking neighbors of hers, the residents in Parque Amazonia, Goiania, Brazil, dashed out with a safety harness just in time. Her owner, Jean Siqueira, was not at home on Sunday when the incident occurred. His pet Tina was afraid of loud noises, and had been scared by the sound of fireworks. This resulted in her trying to escape by running onto the balcony and slipping through the rails. Plus, the balcony door was left slightly ajar, thus the danger. The Lhasa Apso had been desperately struggling to get back into the veranda after slipping through the gap in between the railings.
It was extremely nerve-racking to watch her struggle to hold on for onlookers, but they were relieved to see that Tina had safely landed on the bedsheet laid out by her neighbors. One of his neighbors called Siqueira to inform him that Tina was found, hanging for dear life on the balcony rails! He rushed home immediately upon receiving the call, but by the time he got home, his neighbors had already rescued her! Siqueira almost cried tears of joy and relief when he viewed the video footage. He gratefully pledged his thanks to his neighbors, adding that he wouldn’t be holding Tina in his arms today if not for them.
